Would you choose a male or female therapist if you would need therapy?

I had tried therapy with many therapists. I noticed some differences. In my opinion gender doesn't matter too much. I am thinking to choose a woman next time. Now I am not happy with my therapist. Therapy doesn't help me. I tried something new this time.

The male therapists have been good, but the best was a female I had once.

I would be more comfortable with a female therapist.

@Dreamerby I was uncomfortable too in the beginning. But after a while I was comfortable. Having therapy with a man is a huge step forward for me.

I don't think it would matter to me whether the person talking with me is male or female. I've gone to a female doctor for over 25 years and that never bothered me.

@dya80dya I have not approached therapists. If I would, I'd choose a woman. I hope you find a good one that you like.
