Lasagna Second Attempt

Our weird looking lasagna. We decided to make our own sheets as recommended by our lovely mylot friend, Anna but we didn't have rolling pin to flatten it so we did it with our hands and it looks a bit like a bread rather than a pasta. On the upside, we did not burn the meat as I was the one cooking them instead. I am one for making a domesticated boyfriend but after his first attempt, I think team effort is in order. It does not look pretty but it tasted really nicely. But maybe next time we will stick to ready made sheets. We had fun cooking it!

There is nothing wrong with the way your lasagna looks. It's how it tastes that is important and the fact that your boyfriend is willing to help you in the kitchen.

Thank you. Well we had quite high expectations regarding it I guess. But taste wise we were very happy with it.

@DaddyEvil Truly although the first lasagna my boyfriend made turned out horribly despite a recipe. I'm starting to think he might have executed the instructions wrongly

@flapiz You're welcome. I've made lasagna several times. As long as you follow the recipe, it normally turns out quite edible.

If the taste is not too awful, I believe that is sufficient. When I first saw the photo, I initially assumed it was a pizza. I suppose you'll get it right the next time since you already have the flavor right; you just need to work on the dish's presentation, perhaps.

Hahaha yeah the fat pasta sheets and the round pan made it look like pizza

As long as you had fun and it tasted okay, the rest doesn't really matter a lot.

@JudyEv Well if it's just me and him it does not matter but if we want to entertain guests then it's quite important.

@flapiz If it's just the two of you, presentation isn't such a big deal. Vince always fusses about presentation but I just like to get down to eating.
