And it’s really a question that has been debated for years: should parents be held responsible for their children’s behaviour?
On one hand, it could be argued that parents are the ones who provide their children with the values and morals that guide their behaviour. On the other hand, some people believe that every individual is responsible for their own actions, regardless of their upbringing. So, what do you think? Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of holding parents responsible for their children’s behaviour.
On the plus side, holding parents responsible for their children’s behaviour could lead to better-behaved kids. If parents know that they will be held accountable for their children’s actions, they may be more likely to instil good values in them and set clear expectations. Furthermore, this approach could help to address problem behaviours early on, before they become entrenched.
However, there are also some downsides to holding parents responsible for their children’s behaviour. For one thing, it could incentivise parents to be overbearing and excessively strict, which could damage the parent-child relationship. Additionally, this approach takes away a child’s autonomy and responsibility for their own actions, which some people believe is an important part of growing up.
So, what do you think? Should parents be held responsible for their children’s behaviour? There is no easy answer, but it’s an important question to consider.

Parents need to be responsible for the behavior of their young children, for sure. As kids get older they must also share in the accountability, along with their parents.

@angeldevs Welcome to myLot.
Train up a child in the way he or she go. And when he or she is old, he will not depart from it. Children are our responsibility.

Depends what age they are... But here's the thing some parents just don't give a f*ck cause they are kinda feral. Like oh my kid grinded on a disabled kids head? Lol. (yes actually happened at my friends primary school). Parents gave no f*cks.
