Tomorrow 31st August 22 we are celebrating Ganesh Chathurti who is called our " Ridhi Sidhi Dhata", " Vigna Vinashak". He bestows us with knowledge which helps us to gain prosperity in life and removes all obstacles from our lives. In Mumbai the celebration for 8 days. Here in Odisha it's celebrated for only day. This year the puja date has coincided exactly with the week day, Wednesday. This week day stands for the positive vibe of the planet mercury which is ruled by the blessings of Lord Ganesh.
This festival is celebrated in China, Japan and some parts of Western countries like France by the Indians who have settled there.
I shall be busy with my prayers tomorrow and ask for his blessings for all of us.

@anil02 That's nice. I pray at home and rarely visit the temple.

Oh he is wonderful to pray to granting these blessings to every one who prays Anindita.
Oh it is 8 days long quite a while.
For you only one day though.
No doubt, you will be blessed.
Happy Granesh Chathuri.

No, there are pandals all over the country and people go and offer prayers to the idol of Lord Ganesh in those pandals or pray at home in front of Ganesh idols that they purchase from the market.
