I’m working on my book and I got to this point where I’m like what do I do. So I asked my husband to read through my current last chapter of my book with what I had. He said he liked what I had it was good and clear. So then I asked him about 2 options. Options 1 was to try to add and build more because it’s 6 pages long or option 2 end of here with this person feeling safe and open chapter 10 with my males POV and things going from okay to not okay secret he has been hiding comes spilling all out. My husband says option 2 sounds better.

I may want to disagree with your husband. If the story chapter ends in a safe zone, do you think readers may want to tag along? You should try and create conflicting ends to your chapters, something that may indicate a mode change in your POVs. This will most likely pique the reader's interest. Just my thoughts, I have not seen your book., I could always throw you a review.

That’s is your option but this is chapter 9 and the conflict started in chapter 7 and each chapter is done for either her side or the males side picking up where the last person left off. The reason my husband said he liked my options 2 was because it left things still a mystery there is a part of chapter 9 that I didn’t mention because it’s a surprise and you would have to reach the start of chapter 9 to get it. My husband is that type of person that can see something coming a mile away when it comes to books and movies so I do trust his judgement when I mention ideas or bounce ideas off of him. He felt option 1 was the better choice he would have said so. But maybe you’ll understand when I’m done with my books. Or you can look back on some of my past post they do talk about my other chapters.

@ShyBear88 Got it. I hope to read your book when you are through, good to know that you have good writing support at home. Have you published before?
