Firefighters in North Carolina rescue three pets from a house fire

Thanks to the efforts of the Leland Fire/Rescue who received assistance from the Winnabow Fire Department, they were able to rescue a bearded dragon and two cats who were trapped inside of a home that was on fire yesterday afternoon. I am sure that the owner of the home in Mallory Creek called 911 to report a fire had started inside of the home as the owner did leave the home after he or she called 911 but he or she forgot to take the animals out of home with them. When the Leland Fire/Rescue firetruck arrived at the scene of the home that was on fire, they did not see any evidence at first. It is when the Winnabow Fire Department arrived shortly, they entered the home that was on fire and they encountered heavy smoke when they found two cats and a bearded dragon inside the home as they were able to get them out of danger quickly. The firefighters at both the Leland Fire/Rescue and Winnabow firefighters were able to put out tire quickly. Thank goodness no one was injured. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities. The damage that the fire caused appears to be minor to the point where the owners of the property will not likely be sent to a temporary home assigned to them by the American Red Cross. For the record, I would never want to own a bearded dragon as a pet..
