While Mylotting my sister so suddenly called me. She heard someone calling people at home. She went near the gate. Someone handed to sis a gift box. It's from our cousin living in the next block.
When sister got back she showed to me the box. I opened it, yay it's our favourite at home. In my place it's called 'TORTA'. For those from other regions in Philippines, I don't know how they call this mini cake.
And to those abroad dunno if you have like this hehehe. Come let's eat. Sharing is caring.I called my cousin to thank her.
Image shown the gift.

That's so thoughtful of them. I'm also wondering why in Mindanao they call those small cakes ( I assume it's cheese cake) " torta ". Here in Luzon torta is an omelette.

@cacay1 I know that torta cake already since I was a boy. My granduncle migrated to Davao to teach in MSU and married a rich and landed local girl. Now his wife whenever they came to Manila would bring us goodies like durian candy, guava jelly and a cake she calls torta that she bakes herself, it's so delicious and I remember it has cheese on top perhaps that was her version.

What a sweet gesture.
I am sure that you all enjoyed the mini cakes.
We are going to an apple orchard this morning to pick some fresh apples.
I will pick a bag and take them over to the owner of the salon that I go to, as she is busy looking after her hubby who just had prostate cancer surgery. She will appreciate them, after all, an apple a day helps to keep the doctor away.

That's nice of her.
I forgot how it is called in my hometown.
Torta for us is tortang talong.
In Pampanga, the giniling na baboy dish is called torta.

@florelway I think so. Red is the usual color. I saw displayed Torta colored yellow no one buys for they're not yellowtardspoliticking Torta.

@cacay1 yes that's how they call that big mamon lol. We order torta from a friend and resell them in our store. Do you know that customers prefer the red color Japanese paper. Sometimes they use pink paper or yellow paper even green color. It's not just the taste but the color matters too.
