Another Neighbor Surprise

My sweet neighbor did it again. She invited me over for dessert. And sent me home with leftover mini pecan pies. One of my favorite pies. They grilled out day and had friends and family over. She is always up to something. As I was leaving she said wait a minute. And she gave me these pies to bring home. She will not accept no to her offers. These will be enjoyed, each one. Such a sweet neighbor and friend. Hope your Sunday was a good one. Photo is mine. Taken at my neighbor's house.

What a nice neighbor to you Carol..to say the least. How lovely that must be. I never had nice neighbors ever, but I did have some lovely co workers who invited me over for all sorts of bbqs and so on.

A friend came over and installed my new garbage disposal. Yeah, I gave him some cash for doing it. Then I went and watched some YouTube videos and took a too long nap. Hope I can get enough sleep for tomorrow.

Pecan pies? Yep. It's tht time of the year again. This is the time of year when I start looking out for foods made with pumpkins. The Walmart store near us always makes a lot of pumpkin pies. I don't buy them the first day. I always wait for the next day when they mark down all of their bakery products. I can usually get them for half-price. It's actually cheaper to buy the pies from the bakery than to make my own.

Yes! She made a ton of these and shared some with me. I don't care for pumpkins but they are out for sure. You are right, sometimes it is cheaper to buy them already made. But not always better.
