I'm working hard on finishing my mom's throw blanket that we're bringing to her. She knew she wasn't getting it until I could deliver it in person so it's a late Christmas present. It's a waffle stitch throw blanket done in dark grey. I usually only do baby blankets so I'm excited to be done with this and moved on to my next baby blanket. They work up so much faster.

Last night, I started crocheting a blanket for my oldest grandson. It will take about a week for me to get it made. It's just plain ole double crochet stitch with a few rows of single crochet here and there using a different color.

I bet that single crochet will stick out nicely. Waffle is just double crochet, chain, and crochet behind a post. Very easy to pick up.

I have made some hats with the waffle stitch. Looks like little window panes. And waffles!!
