What's For Supper? : Tuesday, September 6, 2022

After the pandemic started, I was pretty much "forced" to cook at home more often. Thing is, I really don't like to cook all that much. After things got to the point where I could go to the fast food drive-thru again, I started doing that. So, I got out of the habit of cooking at home again. Well, guess what!! I'm cooking supper! I'm frying up some bacon, and, when that is ready, I will dump a can of baked beans on top of that. Quick and easy.

We mostly cook at home as there is really nothing close by where we can buy a meal. I don't like cooking but my husband does so that's a win for me.

I just have me, myself, and I around here. Myself and I aren't much help!

I did most of the cooking before the pandemic and am still doing most of the cooking. I laid out bacon to thaw and am considering cutting up potatoes, onions and adding a can of soup to those while they bake with bacon strips covering the potatoes. We've done that before and it turned out very good. I normally sleep during the day and get up in the evening and stay awake overnight so I cook late at night.

That sounds very tasty! I think I'll try frying up an onion and sweet potato and mix that in with bacon tomorrow.

@bluerubymoon53 Thank you. I only eat sweet potatoes raw. They don't taste good cooked.

That sounds good I love bacon. I am low on groceries and can only order next week so I am preparing a yellow split pea soup with corn and rice in my slow cooker then I have food for the rest of the week,

One of these days, I might get an air fryer. That will surely cut down on the cooking time.
