I am making about 7 pairs of socks for my sister, she bought the wool that she likes, and voila! I am in the last pair. Soon I will be able to ship them to her so she can wear them. Her husband will have the same amount too. It is really rewarding to see how much I can accomplish. Wool socks are so comfortable too.

I would think that wool socks would be itchy. I can't stand wearing wool anything. But these do look rather comfy. I'd be willing to try a pair. Nicely done.

I've used cotton sock yarn for a few pairs that I made for myself. They feel pretty good. As far as wool, I've not had any problems with itchiness. The problem I do have is that I can feel the stitches on the bottom of my feet.

My decision of making socks was when I was a girl when I saw my mom make herself 2 pairs. She did not have the patience to show me how, she told me it was a bit tricky. But not for me now.

@beenice2 My father always wore fine socks, Mom never knitted socks. May be my husband would wear more warm and heavy socks for the winter. He does not wear shoes when he works at his computer.

You sound very talented. I never mastered knitting (yet) but may try it again if I ever retire.

Very pretty socks. I like the colors. Do you ever have more than one sock on the needles? I have had up to 3 different socks on the needles. I get bored with the color or stitch and move to a different sock for a change of pace.

Yeah, that would be a problem. I don't think I would like to try the 2 at a time because of having to pull the needle out and around to work the other half. I think that would take more time than to just move to the next DPN.

I tried two at a time, the problem I encounter by doing that is when you reach the heel you have to do it one at a time.
