When my virtual friend from the UK (now real) visited us in the year 2009 she got us a box of Duchy Originals - biscuits produced in the factory in the Company that was owned by the then HRH Prince of Wales, Prince Charles in 1990 The purpose was to encourage organic produce and save the world. I have the empty box and am glad that I preserved it. The box has notes on why these biscuits are made. And just between you and me I did not like those biscuits!! Image credit:

Apparently, you like the empty box better than the cookies.

Indeed. That is a box to be treasured and now all the more so.

Biscuiits always confuse me, are they doggie biscuits, or are they American dry breaded biscuits or or they cookies? I always wonder how cookies can be not good but guess they can. I liked all the worse cookie biscuits I ever tasted in my life. Of course, you mentioned organic and to me that might mean they do not even taste some what like a cookie. A cookie needs to taste somewhat like a cookie.

I think the main ingredient there was oats.

@allknowing You do not like oatmeal cookies, so good, but heavy. I do not have much tolerance for anything sweet anymore.

Were the biscuits too dry? I never heard of this biscuits, but I bought last week a box of Dutch biscuits and I was not impressed.

They were dry and not the slightest of sweetness. They are Duchy Originals and not Dutch - a typo

@allknowing Duchy must be a territory in the UK. Anyway the Dutch were also dry and not sweet enough.

The are Duchy originals (from the Duchy of Cornwall) not Dutch (from Holland)!
