Fried Green Tomatoes Anyone? / myLot

My grandparents had a huge garden. We loved picking the tomatoes and eating them right off of the vines. They did love green tomatoes and they would fry them and pickle them for canning! I remember seeing the Movie Fried Green Tomatoes. Loved it. I also enjoy the small grape tomatoes. Great in a salad with mozzarella & olive oil! Great snack! As we go into Fall and Winter I will miss the garden veggies & native corn on the cob! However there are foods I love that we will be having some warm favorites like beef stew, pumpkin bread, turkey dinners, baked ham to mention a few!

Yes indeed I love these. Fried green tomatoes makes meal in itself.

I love fried green tomatoes. I was looking at my plants this morning and I told to my husband that I should start picking up those still green and fry them.
