Dumbsh*t driving move number 9,293.

You are at a stoplight in the left turn lane.
The light turns green and you can't move because the dumbsh*t coming from the left of you (I live in the USA) went through the light without making sure that they would not wind up stuck in the middle of the intersection, blocking traffic if the light changed.
So there you sit, taking in demographic information about said dumbsh*t, and kicking yourself for having forgotten to bring you flamethrower.
Have you ever experienced this particular dumbsh*t driving move?

In NYC, I see this happen often. Drivers speed up to try to make the light before it turns red even though they know they will get stuck at the intersection. And yet they do it anyway. And if they see they have nowhere to go they will keep on driving, even if they will block traffic. Also, as soon as the light turns green, if you don't start driving that instant people behind you start honking. Whatever happened to having patience?

@BarBaraPrz Hmm. Let me think about that. No, there are other projective tests out there.

I replaced my flame thrower with a phaser. It fits in the glove compartment so I never have to worry about forgetting it because it's always in the car and it charges with the same doohickey my phone uses. The phaser is great because I don't have to worry about keeping the tanks filled and collateral damage anymore...Like when you set a school bus or orphanage or something on fire when you're aiming at a small car and you set the power level too high. Things like that always used to bother me.
Sometimes, I still use my flame thrower when I feel nostalgic. But now, it's strictly a recreational thing.

@TheHorse Incidents like that sometimes even make me a little sympathetic to the 2nd Amendment trampling bed-wetting hippies who want to ban flame throwers or at least make sure that only responsible people buy them---But then I remember that the only way to stop an irresponsible person with a flame thrower is a responsible person with a flame thrower and incinerated school busses is just the price of living in a free society.

No. Usually the dumbsh*t goes through the red light.

Oh yes. We have what are called 'box junctions' indicated by cross-hatching on the ground, where you should not enter the 'box' unless you can clearly exit it, otherwise you may be left blocking the junction. You won't be surprised to know that people often ignore these, just like your fellow driver.

I'm not a driver but my son-in-law is our family driver. What we had experienced in turning right and it says turn right anytime. We are on the outside right lane a following a car. We thought it would turn right. But to our dismay, it waited till the light turns green and went straight. It's a waste of time. Inconsiderate!
