Don't get it wet for four days

Shower is done. The grout inbetween the tiles must set and dry for four days. I've never had a tiled shower so this is totally new to me. I've always lived with a plastic wall insert. The shower grab bar looks like it will be easy to grab if I have a problem. I think it turned out great. The Fixer Guys were so friendly and polite. They worked hard at sweeping up any messes. All highly paid Fixer Guys should be tidy but I've had some who weren't. They also were very patient with barky Rufus and nervous Annie dog. I'm ready to live with a quieter house! No more drilling and hammering and what not.

It looks really good. I wish I could get that done in my second bathroom, but it isn't cheap.

@snowy22315 I hear you about it not being cheap. I wanted the old shower stall out cause I knew there was mold. So.....this pretty face that you see tops a bunch of fix it areas. Mold and rotting wood was removed and new put in. We really needed all that not so healthy gunk gone.

It looks great. You can do it for just 4 days. I remember when we had new cement poured in our driveway, we had to let that cure for a month.

@Juliaacv No cat or dog tracked cute prints in your driveway?

@sallypup No, my hubby put a bunch of pilons up along the edges of the it with caution tape to deter anyone's pets from wandering in the wrong direction. It worked, that cement looked perfect without any marks. I actually felt a little guilty the first time that I drove into the garage to park my car as I had to cross over the new cement.

Oh, that looks really nice! It's going to be difficult not to hop in there to try it out for four days, though.

I really love those tiles. They look SOO nice. I'm sure it's really good to have it over and done with.

@JudyEv Thanks. Kind of like quilting but with tile. I'm glad I didn't have to figure how to put each piece just the way it should go.

@LindaOhio Thanks. I had the guys install another bar like that in the upstairs bathroom. The toilet is on a little platform. Having a grab bar by that toilet has been great.

Your bathroom looks so nice. My inset wall is plastic I think. I don’t believe it’s tile.

What a nice job they did. Love this shower. You will too in a few days. And that peace and quiet has returned.
