The red hibiscus is offered to Goddess Kali / myLot

I have red hibiscus in pots in my balcony. Every week few flowers blossom in the plant. The flowers are offered to Goddess Kali the Goddess of power. It is autumn in Kolkata. Yet it is raining cats and dogs. Inspite of the bad weather the hibiscus plants are alive and fresh in my balcony.

The red hibiscus is a beauty. I grew them of all colors before I moved to an apartment. I’m gladyours are thriving.

It is really beautiful flower. You could take one or two flowers boil in hot water and take a bath add few more cold water in it. It is hence called Herbal bath.

That's a beautiful flower. I used to grow miniature hibiscus plants. They had tiny flowers that were white and purple striped.

According to a local story, hibiscus don’t have fragrance because Hibiscus tried to steal other flowers’ scent for herself and when the goddess of flowers found out, she punished her and made her fragrantless forever
