King Charles III will we ever get used to him?

I know that to some non UK countries and colonies, it will not mean too much but to those who are used to the Queen and her personality, will we ever get used to accept Charles?
There was even an announcement that read, ‘ Queen Elizabeth is dead, Charles is Queen!’
The Queen’s reign is very long, we saw her as a young bride and mother, we saw her develop.
With King Charles III, although we see him occasionally, we probably aren’t prepared to see him as a King one day.
Do you like Charles as King?

Simply because of the length of her reign, Her Majesty will be a most difficult act to follow.
I have absolute respect for the King, Great Britain, and all of the realms and commonwealth. They have been great friends to the United States, and hopefully they’ve found us to be good friends as well. (Although I’m sure Canada is a little leery of us since they’re so close and get to see our stupidity “up close and personal.”

@vickyrose To be honest, Nostradamus predicted that Queen Elizabeth II would die in 2022 and King Charles III would abdicate, leaving the throne to Prince Harry, not Williams.
I am well, fall is coming here.

@LadyDuck Anna, that’s really creepy. I did read some of Nostradamus work, but it was hard to understand. I’m glad that you’re doing fine. It is spring now in my neck of the woods.

According to
Nostradamus, he will abdicate in favour of Prince William. If I were him, I will rule till I’m 80, then abdicate to give my son a chance to be a King at a younger age… How are you, Anna? I’ve missed you.

I actually feel sorry for him. His role as the king has already been reduced to a purely ceremonial one with no actual powers. But if more members of the commonwealth start leaving the association, that would further lower the prestige of his reign.

Yes, you have a very good point there. It will be sad and it will bring financial ruin to the members of the royal family if the King and his entourage and family will no longer be recognized by the UK.

@vickyrose I don't think the royal family will be reduced to paupers given that they are worth billions.

I do not keep up much with the royal family, but I can certainly see how things could feel very different considering how long the Queen reigned. Change always comes with a bit of an adjustment period. This one may take more adjusting considering most of us only know of one person to have the throne in our lifetimes.

Yes, I agree that it will take some adjusting for the world to get used to a King.

@vickyrose I don't think it will be long before King William (or whatever name he chooses) takes the throne. I think the people will enjoy him much more than Charles.

Since, we're not became a colony of Britain, I used to have a news about the UK. If I'm not mistaken, about 10-15 years ago, there's a news that it's not Charles to be a King. It should be William. But I don't know what's the twist that Queen Elizabeth II changes mind and accepted Prince Charles to become her successor.

It’s the rule of succession, Luis. The Queen doesn't choose her successor. It will the the firstborn of the Queen or King, unless he or she abdicates. It’s a complicated Rule of Succession.

@vickyrose Yes. In which Queen Elizabeth would not be a Queen if her father not to became a King because her father is not a 1st born.

We're watching a really good documentary about the history of the monarchy. Queen Elizabeth II certainly was loved by a lot of people around the world.

King Charles III seems to have a good personality. Time will tell if he is a wonderful leader like the late Queen Elizabeth II or will he be lampooned by his critics.
