It seems that almost everyone likes cheese. I am sure there are a few around that don't, but cheese is pretty delicious. I just had some smoked Boars Head Cheddar for lunch, and it was awesome. Tastes great with an apple and crackers. What kinds of cheese float your boat, hard soft, or in between?

Always it is extra, extra sharp hard cheddar and I'll take the whole wheel of it.

You sound like former roomie, he was nuts for sharp cheese. I like it too, but am not crazy for it. OOh, I just remembered I have some Babybel in there. I might have a wheel of that later. I still have some apple to eat.

The only cheeses I don't like are those by Kraft (they're over processed) and a couple of those bland ones.

I had some cheese one time I really didn't like. It was made on a commune that is in these parts. It was like extremely sharp cheese with a bad flavor. I don't know if something went wrong with the processing or it was supposed to taste that way, but I did not like it at all.

@rebelann You don't know what a commune is? It is people who live in a self supporting community. They work there, all have different jobs. They are self supporting. Most of them are farms of some sort. This particular one has some animals, but their main enterprise is making colorful hammocks. They sell them locally and maybe online too. I am going to look to see if any are on Amazon.

Hmmm, ok, I haven't a clue what a 'commune' would be. But I do know that over processed cheese doesn't taste good at all plus it's unhealthy

I like soft cheeses like Brie, and goat cheese. There is a store about an hour from my sister's place called World of cheese It is huge and contains maybe 1,000 types I did a mystery shop down that way one time and really wanted to stop, but I didn't have time.

Havarti is generally tasty. Velveeta is beyond blah. A good Vermont aged cheddar is tasty, too- the crystals are fun to bite on.

Harvarti tastes bland to me. Have you tried Jarlsberg? Mellow and tasty it is.

@snowy22315 Depends on who makes the Havarti. Its buttery to me. Jarlsberg is a variety of Swiss, I think.

Home made old white cheese (cow cheese).Dunno how to say it in English, never found it in the States but in all the countries in Eastern Europe is everywhere lol. My favorite. Can eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner but I limit myself cuz it’s salty.

@Greencindere Feta cheese is really good in Greek salad or with eggs.

@snowy22315 it’s mild. There are many different flavors depending on which pastures the cows are grown.I guess something a little similar to it is Greek Feta cheese.

It is hard to pick a favorite. I have alwas been partial to cheddar, but am trying not to eat that so much anymore, has the most fat of about any cheese. Provolone is good too.

@snowy22315 When our grandson Josh was young, he announced he want to try every type of cheese in the world. I started researching and I had no clue there were so many kinds of cheese!

That's so yummy at home we seldom use cheese only during special occasion. My sisters have high blood pressure it's not good to eat cheese any time.

I like soft cheeses - Camembert, Brie. Vince doesn't like cheese at all although he eats it cooked. I find it strange that someone can't like cheese but there you go.

I like Swiss although I couldn't stand it when I was young. Gouda isn't bad, love cheddar. One cheese I really like, but it has been a long time since I've had it is Jarlsberg.
