Did you ever not post something on mylot because you did not know how mylotters would react to it?

I was going to post something of interest on here, but I think mylotters might be offering all sorts of unsolicited opinions and perhaps moral judgments. I already made my mind up what I was going to do, so unless people are willing to be supportive, I think I am fine with my decision. Most mylotters are cool, but you never know what someone might think.

I've definitely deleted discussions in the midst of writing them . . . just figured nah, I didn't want to open a can of worms - as we all know that sometimes happens. If you're good with whatever you decided, then I hope it all works out for you .

Yes, but you can't say that a comment that was made, wasn't insulting or made you feel badly about yourself in some way.

If it's of a personal nature I tend to keep those to myself mostly. It's my opinion that my private dos and don'ts are no bodies bidness, I don't even share those with my real world friends.

There are some things I am perfectly comfortable sharing, and others I just don't. I was actually going to share this one, but it didn't post the first time, and I thought better of it..and decided it didn't need to be public knowledge.

Well that is rather mysterious..I cannot imagine what would be so bothersome to others. But yes, some may be offering advice not needed. I do not say a lot on myLot though I understand.

Yes, people who want to tell you what you did was wrong, and others that want to" join the party", so to speak and pile on.

May be I haven't posted something here by thinking that people may not have interest about that topic. I never thought that how they will react. In fact it is good to hear different opinions about the same topic from all over.

@snowy22315 True. But obviously we don't have any control over it. We shouldn't stop our self as they don't. So keep going.

I have even had occasions when a few misinterpreted what I had conveyed. However, most responses were appreciative. It takes all sorts to make a world and also a site!

@snowy22315 I have been on many sites since 2010. They closed one after another. Each had its own characteristics and ethos. I was mindful of what others did and aligned with them. On this site too, I follow the same policy but try to post on those that interest me. I avoid controversial subjects like politics, religion, etc.

Oh sure, many times. I try to post something of interest that is relatable. If I don't think a post is going to receive much of a response, even though it might be informative, I'll decide against posting it. I avoid political posts for it seems to rile people up and opens your view up to moral judgements like you said. There are so many other topics one can share why post political stuff that just causes members to argue with each other. What does that accomplish? It's certainly not fun or entertaining.

For the most part no I just put it out there. Yes, I have tried to maybe tone back what I say just to not offend everyone but then again so what if I do. It is a public forum so sometimes the language that I would like to use needs to be cleaned up a bit.

There will always be those who disagree with what you post in your discussion, comment on, or who have a prejudiced opinion about it.You either have a thick skin or not to post this type of thing in the first place.
