Friendship Matters

Is anyone still friends with a child-hood friend?
I have a couple with whom I am still friends. One of them, especially, we keep in touch regularly. Whether by phone or through messenger, we speak almost daily. We don't get to visit much because we live in separate states. We love each other though, and have a strong friendship. I know that she is always praying for me and I pray for her and her kids daily.
Back in August, we had the opportunity to go back to our hometown and spend the day together. It was a great time. I wish we could see each other more often, but life is not always as we would like. We have to make the best of it. We have to cherish our loved ones. We have to pray for one another.
We need to always remember that friendships matter. Family matters too, but sometimes your family will walk away. Sometimes family will put you on a back burner to pursue their own desires. If you have a friend who is loyal, hang on to them. Love those friends and pray God's blessings upon their lives.

The friend that I am speaking of, in this article, we lost touch after high school but reconnected through myspace. Now we are regularly in contact and try to set up times to visit. The visits are hard because we live in separate states.

it's good to have true friends. i'm still friends with my childhood and high school best friend, but she got married and moved to Germany, so we don't see each other that often. except for when she comes to Bosnia sometimes
