Do you have a favorite ‘house shirt’?

Because mine is this very old University of the Philippines t-shirt given to me by a friend who was a student there. UP is like one of the most prestigious schools here and I remember wearing that t-shirt feeling prestigious myself. Lol As time passed by, it developed some holes and in the armpit area and the maroon color faded. Yet, it’s still my go to shirt after a long day of hustling outside. My mom used to tell me if I didn’t have any shirt at all because I look like a homeless person. Then I saw this photo.

You should be comfortable at home... No matter what anyone else thinks. My ex-wives always tried to throw away my most comfortable clothes. I kept the clothes and got rid of the wives.

@sol_cee I still wore those clothes out in public. They kept trying to tell me we could afford better clothes. I didn't and still don't see a reason to waste money on clothes I don't need.

I have a lot of that in my closet. A favorite shirt is something that is comfortable even though it is a bit worn out but you still prefer to wear them when you need to go outside. Good thing that my wife does not mind about it since she got used to it already. I think she will mind if we would go to attend a party where I need to dress up but when we go to grocery or get to go somewhere she doesn't mind at all.

@sol_cee It's probably just common sense; if the dress is still wearable and comfortable, why change it? Unless there is a reason to do that, I don't think the looks would mind. It may have something to do with how our minds are wired, in my opinion. We were biologically designed to be hunters, so when you go hunting, you don't dress up; instead, you wear comfortably so it won't get in the way. The way you look is irrelevant when you're doing that.

I want to be comfortable at home. I usually wear a light cotton dress in summer, warm leggins and a sweater during the colder months. Before dinner, I wear my PJ that I keep while I watch TV. I love all my PJs.

I don't have a favorite shirt, but usually when I am home I just change into a t-shirt. I have a lot of t-shirts, so I usually just grab whatever the first thing I see.

I have a drawer of tank tops, shorts, and leggings that I call my "pandemic" clothes. And maybe a selection of 5 "pandemic" jackets. They are clothes I don't have to think about and can just throw them on!

The right idea is after a long day at work to come home and put on whatever makes you comfortable.

I sure do! In summer, it's flip flops shorts and t-shirt. In winter, sweatpants and a flannel shirt. It's hard to retire those comfortable clothes. I've got stuff decades old
