It came down in buckets

It rained cats and dogs... major farm animals, even. So much rain, and some thundergrumbling. At one point, the roar of it all obliterated the sound of the radio. Then the sun came out for maybe an hour.
Then it started all over again. Rinse and repeat.
It's supposed to be like this tomorrow and Tuesday as well, with the temperature going down by degrees.
I don't like it and I want summer back!

No matter what, I don't want THIS summer back! It was too hot for man or beast! (Hmm... I wonder which of those "women" fit into?... )

It wasn't too hot for me. Currently, it's only 12°C/54°F with a predicted high of 17°C/63°F and more rain midday. You can have it.

@DaddyEvil Currently 19°C/66°F, which is higher than the prediction, but no where near warm enough for me.

@BarBaraPrz For two months we had temps over 100F/37C and reached 107F/42C several days.
We're at 71F/21C and that is our predicted high today.

I hope that is as bad as it gets and you will be alright, Let's just say you are in a wash cycle

Wash cycle, yes, but it seems to be stuck on repeat.
Is Fiona affecting you any?

@BarBaraPrz no she isn't, but they are saying some other tropical storm is headed for Florida, but in my five years here we have been alright up north only we could get heavy rain.

I don't mind a gentle summer rain but this was horrendous.

I do not blame you since thunderstorms scare me since I fear blackouts.

I don't fear blackouts, but sure am annoyed by them.

@BarBaraPrz The same with me since then my relatives and myself have to deal with the heat outside.

Would that be Fiona, or maybe her successor?

We are crying out for rain and haven't heard thundergrumbling for ages.Letting summer back isn't a good idea for me.

Yeah, I'd didn't see those "lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer" this August, either.

The thunder wasn't clapping... at first I thought someone was dragging an empty garbage can along the sidewalk.
