Got reinfected again :(

Seems like Covid has come to haunt me again. Last Saturday I was feeling a bit tired than the usual so I decided to rest and sleep. After waking up I already had a slight fever. Then Sunday came my fever got worst and was down the whole day. Today Monday I felt a bit better but I decided to take the test after breakfast to confirm if this was Covid and the results was Positive. So far the symptoms are a bit manageable than the first time I had this. I was hospitalized and almost got critical. This time it seems like it's just an ordinary flu where fever, body pains and runny nose are the only symptoms and nothing more. My oxygen levels seems not affected as it remains at 95% at this time.

That’s good. I’ve had a lot covid in my family but the new variances are not as bad as covid 19 especially if we’ve had all the vaccinations. I hope you’ll feel better in a few days.

Seems like that too... I had it when the vaccine was not available yet so I got to experience the worst of it but this time seems like the symptoms are manageable already and look like flu only.

@RubyHawk Looking forward to that too. The only remaining uninfected is my wife but i suspect she has it too since we live in a very small confined condo unit.

It's good that you have a mild one this time. Are you not vaccinated? Take rest as much as you can. Hope you recover from it soon.

@sjvg1976 My son got it and is negative now. I guess it transferred to me since we live in a small confined space so reinfection is very much likely to happen.

@rsa101 it seems that you are not 100% immune to it. Is it you only in the family who's infected?

Good for you then that you haven't had any experience getting the virus. This is technically my second bout but comparing to the first one this seems to be manageable as I am just in my 4th day and symptoms are already fading. I guess the vaccines are working on me.

@allknowing Since I can compare the previous one when I wasn't vaccinated with the current one, I know the vaccine is far from perfect but it has significantly weakened the virus. The way I recovered, which was difficult and slowly, is very different from how it is now, which is virtually exactly like the flu. A couple of days fever and after that I am slowly getting back again.

Thanks look like I am going there already. My appetite may be slow but I have taste and smell still. My fever has been on and off since yesterday today it is okay already but I am still generally weak but I can work lightly at the moment.

@DaddyEvil Yeah that is also my worry but I had the worst of it but didn't get some long term effect on me. Maybe this time it won't be. Hopefully.

Am fine already. Took about a week to recover fully. Symptoms were very mild more like flu. I guess the vaccines still working as the symptoms were quite manageable.

@Tampa_girl7 I guess being vaccinated has its benefits already. My body was able to respond with the help of medications for the fever everything went well.

@cacay1 Thankfully I am now ok and I can work again but at home at the moment. I am not sure if I am still infectious or not but I think by next week I can report back to work already. Covid is very different now than what it was before.

Well it's hard to pinpoint already since it was my son who got it first then I just followed. I think he got it from his travel back and forth to school.

@rsa101 that's what I'm afraid of that face to face classes may surge the virus back. I hope you're well now. Prayers sent to God.

@CarolDM I feel I have recovered already as fever did not happen overnight tomorrow I think is my 5th day which is the required quarantine for vaccinated ones. Although I do have slight runny nose and mild coughs which is always the side effects of covid.

Yeah this version is not as bad as my first experience with them. If this was like my first I am supposed to be sick still at this time but now I have regained my strength and just working on my colds and cough only.

@rsa101 There is no way to predict if a person will get COVID, I keep a mask in my bag, and if I am in a place where I hear a lot of coughing, I put it on. Maybe it will protect me, maybe not.

@Neil43 Yes but for some the virus can still be deadly especially the unvaccinated and still very transmissible that is why cases are still rising from time to time.
