Visiting my daughter at the thrift store again

Yesterday I felt a little lazy so while the baby was sleeping instead of putting her down and cleaning I watched a few episodes of Blacklist. I hadn’t watched anything in many months so it was nice to relax for awhile.
For dinner I made two new recipes : Cheesy asparagus pasta and Sour cream rice. I also made chicken spiedies and we had a bowl of leftover fruit from a fruit platter I made on Sunday. My husband said it was a whole lot of carbs. I guess he was right I’m terrible at planning meals I just figured it was good because there was three different vegetables in the dishes. He didn’t touch any of the delicious fruit.
Today I picked my mom and nephew up and took them to the thrift store my daughter works at. She wanted two dish towels and a set of plates so I bought them for her as part of an early birthday gift. I got the baby’s cute Lion King bib and a book.
My daughter gave me two bags of books they were going to throw out for me to put to little free libraries when I am out and about.
I created this post mostly just to share a photo of the neat luggage stand they made as decor where my daughter works. I had mentioned this to @snowy22315 on my last post.

@Judyev I told him a few times he should have some and he told me he isn’t a big fan of fruit. He always complains I don’t make enough vegetables but he almost never makes me food when he makes a meal for him and the boys so I don’t care if he likes what I serve anymore.

@LadyDuck he said he’s not a big fan of fruit. Well it’s just as important to get servings of fruit in a meal as it is to get vegetables. When he complains again that there isn’t enough vegetables I’ll complain if he ever decides to make me dinner that there is no fruit

@LadyDuck I just love the decor there they come up with such neat things. They have another store about a half hour away and that one is even neater.
This store where my daughter works has only been open for about 6 months or less though so I am sure in time it will be fabulous.

@averygirl72 in person it looks very sturdy to me. They are always changing things up making it look so neat I love going often and seeing what is new. This is another luggage stand they made and use there to put items on for sale.

@Deepizzaguy the person in charge of decorating the two stores is so creative. I only wish I could do things like this.

@BarbaraPrz to me they look old and look like something no one would want so a great thing to repurpose instead of sending them to the landfill. But perhaps you are right as I’m not a shopper of luggage to know. Here’s another photo of a second rack they have there.

@LeaPea2417 me too you just never know what you will find. It’s fun her working there because when they are getting rid of stuff she asks me if I want any of it so I’ve gotten nice clothes and books etc.

That is an adorable stand. I wouldn't make out very well if I worked at a thrift store. I would probably spend all my earnings on buying things...to keep for myself and to sell on eBay!

@KouponKaren that’s the same trouble my daughter is having working there lol. Instead of a percentage off purchases for the employees each week they get store credit of $13.50. She never lets that money go to waste Plus brings home so much stuff they are going to throw out. Her room is basically a storage shed now.
