Room arrest... clouds inside the house.

Good morning from this side of the planet . It's 11 AM here and it's a pleasant weather outside. Clouds and sun are playing hide and seek and so far the winner is not decided.
I woke up at 5 AM though it's a holiday time for me. I was late to bed ( around mid night) but still felt fresh to wake up. Maybe a lot was going on in my mind. And somewhere at the back of my mind I had plans to finish a lot before the workers came and I got room arrested.
It's cloud of dusts inside the house with all the renovation work going on. And that means that again I would be cleaning for hours in the evening after they leave. This would be the routine for coming few days.. Yesterday it took me more than three hours to clean up though the workers had tidy up the place before leaving. They are professionals and do a good job. But still the micro dust particles enter everywhere.
I will stay upstairs, room arrested for the whole day.. I have got everything that I need for the day to keep me alive and busy. Food, water, fruits, plates, my phone, charger, ironing clothes, sewing kit and few clothes that need repair...enough for the day
Husband is working from home today. So, he takes the office area in the corner of our master bedroom. And I am happy in the well confined space in our walk in closet( it's spacious enough) and of course my bed. He has to stay home to supervise the workers when I will be gone with my daughter in the late afternoon for her music program.
Luckily, my daughter and niece don't have holidays yet. Else it would be overcrowded here. They have a break of four days next week and by then a lot would be done on the ground floor. They come back late in the afternoon and we just have to get them for an hour upstairs before things settle down in the ground floor.
About the fun mylot goal that I kept for yesterday, I could do 1 post, clear up notifications as they kept coming on and 20 responses( halfway to the goal of 40 ). Let's see how much I do today. I will be mylotting a lot in this room arrest .
Have a good time in your mylot corner
Moving on to reading your posts.

Hmm... when my first wife and I had remodeling done on one of our houses, we hung plastic sheeting at the doors into the rooms that the work was happening in so we didn't need to clean as much in the rest of the house when the construction guys left each day. The plastic sheets kept most dust in just those rooms.
It's good you have plenty to do in your myLot corner. See you in the notifications.

That's what we have done too. That screens out most of the dust but still some escape and that's enough.. Anyway I am not doing a thorough deep cleaning as of now till the dust work is on. But enough to let us survive another day .
I will take baby small steps as you suggested. Since upstairs is where I am and the work there is almost done, I should start here from tomorrow. Start with cleaning and rearrangements of my walk in closet. That itself is a big task and would take a couple of days if I do it little by little.

@arunima25 I cleaned my deck closet today so it’s much neater and I can easily find my Christmas decorations.

I am enjoying the time in the room. Being room arrested, I could be more productive. And enjoyed mylotting. But then later in the evening, it was again a lot of cleaning.

Hey, good to hear from you after so many days. I noticed that you were missing in action here. Got a bit worried about your health. Glad that all is okay.
Hope you had a good time with your newborn granddaughter.
It's October already and I am sure that there would be drop in temperature now

When one is confined to one room, one is more focused and tends to finish off a lot of work.. I have done one load of ironing and some bit of mylotting. It's 1 PM here and I will have my lunch in some time.
Right now I want to enjoy mylotting for a while.

I have known some owners leave the house when work is going on.

We planned for the same. We even put it in the apartment notice if any two bedroom was available for one month, but had no luck. We have another apartment in the same complex but that's occupied by tenants. We didn't want to move out of the complex because of logistics like my younger daughter's college bus and my niece college.

There is enough. So far I have done a load of ironing and some bit of mylotting. I guess I have taken more than what I could do. I have to get ready around 4:45 as soon as my daughter comes back from college and leave for her program with her. It's already 1 PM here and I will have my lunch soon.

Renovations always cause a mess as well as inconvenience but it's nice when it's all done. Glad you have enough to everything to survive room arrest while they work

You are right. It's another day with the same routine. I have to be like that for few more days. The silver lining is that being room arrested, I can do more of mylotting .
So far, the outcomes are good. We are happy the way things are coming up. I hope the final result will be good enough to forget and let go all the trouble.

I wish they were real clouds. I would have welcomed them. But these ones are troublesome and have to go soon.

Very true. Noise is still tolerable but these fine dust particles can be real problem. Anyway it is a matter of few more days and then it would be mostly cleaning, painting and polishing.

Today I have done the same.. I think this would be my routine for few more days. The silver lining is that with nothing much to do in room arrest, I can be more here
