Got up early today so that I could go catch the bus to my boss' house at the in-home day care. She had seven kids today, one of whom was new. My boss was getting rid of things, and asked if I wanted the blanket in the photo, and I said I did. Who knows, temperatures may actually start going down. J/K, they actually have a bit. Before I left, I got a $100 check from her, too. This morning before I left to catch the bus I checked my voicemail and found I had gotten one from a man at the Coast Guard Training Center who didn't identify himself, but from what he said, I'm guessing that it was the man I called trying to get an appointment for fingerprints. Turns out, from what he said, making an appointment is something else I have to do online, and I saved the message because he gave me the instructions on what website to go to and what buttons to click. I got a 40-minute walk home, which I hadn't done in a while, but it wasn't too bad. When I got home, I turned on the computer, and got an email from the lady who's most currently been sending me things to fill out and sign. I thought, "Uh-oh, what do I have to do again?" but she said: "Ok thanks! It looks like it is pending the hiring manager’s signature now." I took that to mean it didn't need my signature, and I thought I'd sent it without signing it. Now, I need to make an appointment to get fingerprints the way that guy who called said to, and hopefully I'll be set!
