I Don't Think of Weather as 'Part of the News'

That is; I don't tune into the news thinking, "Hmm, I wonder what the weather's going to be like today!"
I watch a lot of 'news-shows' (mostly 'political commentary,' with a smattering of 'war-news' & 'crime-news' and a smidge of 'entertainment-news' ... which are usually a bit political too), but--watching most of the news 'recorded on DVR'--I usually fast-forward through the weather reports (I can only think of one or two news-shows I watch that do those).

I just check the website of Hong Kong Observatory to get updates on weather.

I don't believe in weather forecasts. They oftenly not reliable as they give false weather predictions most of the times in my country.

That, and most of the shows I watch are 'shows I recorded a few days ago' (so the weather they're talking about is already gone & doesn't matter anymore---unlike the newsworthy things they're commenting-on).
