High school homecoming dance postponed due to bats in a gymnasium

Students who were scheduled to attend a homecoming dance at Davis Senior High School in Davis California that were scheduled for Saturday when the bad news came from the school officials who received the bad news from wildlife officials that due to an invasion of Mexican Free-tailed bats who were inside of the North Gyn after the bats who were inside of the migration of the bats during the spring and fall.
Corky Quirk who is an official with the wildlife rescue and rehabilitation mentioned that the weather conditions did play a role in the bats entering the high school gym.
Since the Yolo County animal services could not remove all of the bats that are inside of the gym, the homecoming dance has been postponed since rabid bats are the cause of many deaths when the bats bite a human being,
The date of the dance for the high school students will be in the future but the exact date is not set in stone.

I'm sorry that the dance was delayed. I hope they can remove all of the bats.

That is what the school officials will be doing. Close the gym until all of the bats are removed.
