The Horse generates a brilliant algorithm for paying MyLot's writers for the end of September.

As we all know by now, the bank server at MyLot was broken for the last two days of September.
How can MyLot compensate us for our financial losses if they have no idea what we should have made?
I am not a computer guy, but I was a math and physics major for awhile in college. And I have done statistical analyses for most of my adult life as a research psychologist.
Here is my algorithm, or formula, if you prefer:
1) Compute each member's average earnings for the last five days before the server went down.
But what if some writers wrote and commented like crazy, just to make a certain amount? Vulgar!
2) Compute each member's average earnings for the last 30 days before the server went down. A larger "sample size" is always good.
3) Take the mathematical average of the two.
4) Multiply this "average of averages" by the number of days that the bank server was down. I would guess that number to be about 1.7.
5) Deposit that amount into the banks (for September 30) of each MyLot member.
Simple and elegant!
Can you tell I miss doing data analysis? I have not published a paper with statistical analysis in it for many years.

Okay, now write a computer logic program to do it and we're set!

Don't you kids have an App on your phones that do this? A Computer Application, not an Appetizer.

That is what is wrong with my payment amount at this site for the last two days was very low. Hopefully the bank problem will be solved soon.

@Deepizzaguy We do our part by having fun here. I got some work done on my book today. But I always have MyLot "playing in the background."

@TheHorse I mean we work hard to make this site a success.

That would be nice; but I'm afraid we will have to live with our losses.

I like this idea. Seems simple enough. I know @GoAskAlice asked for a computer logic program to get this done. But all I think it would take is a simple calculator and an addition to the payment when they hit the "pay" button. Not everything requires a computer. And I am sure the site is well within its ability to simply adjust a paid amount when they set it up.
Maybe I am wrong, or maybe it is just too much work. I have no idea. Either way, I am sure we did not lose enough to worry about. lol

A simple calculator - to add the additional money to each account - when no one klnows how much that amount should be because it did not record it? You mean simply examine every account to see everything each account did and then add those totals up with a calculator - and do what? Since a computer program handles the payments? Drink one for me too!

@GoAskAlice Did you not read his post? He gave you the formula to calculate this. Either I am drinking too much or you broke your own rule of commenting on a post you did not read. Shame on you.
I am no mathematician, but his "formula" was as clear cut as anything I have read. lol

I remember several years ago my analysis on how myLot users be compensated or got paid and shown how. That post was deleted but why yours is not?
