Katherine Robinson who is a retired schoolteacher used his love of playing bingo games to buy a $10 dollar ticket named Big Bucks Bingo Fast Play game in a Publix store one day before her 68th birthday in Apex North Carolina. on September 28. i would say that Katherine received her early birthday gift since when she found out that her winning lottery ticket was worth $162,826 dollars before taxes which made Katherine a very happy lady. Katherine will be using her lottery winnings to buy new windows for her current home in Apex.

@Deepizzaguy So do I. I would probably never win anything and my money would be gone.

It always sounds so huge when the figures are shown but what they never say is how much the government will take from this.

That is true since I understand that the tax bite from lottery winnings is almost half of the gross amount.

@rebelann It is usually around 30-40 percent that is taken out in taxes.

Great gift, too bad the taxes are going to take a huge portion.

You are right that taxes do cut the size of a prize of lotteries.

Katherine was a very happy person that her mom teaching her to play bingo as a child paid off at last.
