What inspires You to Respond to a Discussion?

For me: I guess I feel a 'duty' to respond to discussions when I feel like I have 'personal expertise' in the matter being discussed. I'll also often respond when the post makes me think something more than 'Interesting!' or 'Fascinating!' or 'Nice!' or another positive notion that would be best communicated with a 'thumbs-up.' What are the topics that YOU are most likely to respond-to?

For me, it's a simple English. As i am not a native english speaker, some expresions I find it hard to.undestand. And the title. That is the most important, has to.be clear from the begining what's the subject.

That's what I don't like about the posts that have 'titles that don't tell me anything' (like 'the day's date').

I do not have favorite topics, there are topics I skip, but for the rest it depends on my mood. Most days I enjoy reading about food, I also like to read posts that are like a daily diary of the user. I would suggest a new rule to add to the list here in myLot, they should forbid "misleading titles".

Often, people will comment ABOUT the titles (even though the content beneath the title 'totally points the discussion in a different direction'). Other times, they'll comment on 'the image' (no matter what the discussion's about). If the title or picture look too 'different from the actual discussion,' sometimes I'll comment on THAT

@mythociate I noticed, not all users, but some read the title and type a comment, they do not take the time to read the discussion. I like to read the discussion, I also like nice images if they are pertinent with the post. Better if personal images.

I like to respond to discussions for people who respond to mine, other than that, just discussions that I find interesting for what ever reason.

It honestly depends on my mood. If it's something I know about, then I might respond. (If it's something I've thought about, then I usually respond on your discussions. Sometimes your discussions leave me without anything I can add, because I've never even thought of something like what you're wanting to discuss.) I try to respond on as many of the daily discussions as I can here on myLot. I usually have fun teasing people and just being a general smartass on myLot. (I think it makes everyone's day a little more fun. )

I red most discussions here because I am interested in what people have been up to and what they are doing. So usually I read the discussion and then comment on it or about what I think and sometimes if I can help I look something up and provided a link for people,
