When is the last time you backed up your PC?

I backed up my pc about a week ago, i dont need it actually, coz there is not much important data stored. I have all the software cd's avilable even if i have to format my pc someday.

i should do it more - i do it once a month

I never do I just leave it to my son as he has the qualifications to do it . Makes life a lot easier fo me . xx

I do it quite regular I have all my back ups

I back it up every day at 16:00.. My Norton Ghost do it for me :D I save the backup on an external hard disk!

We just had this kill us a couple months ago... and up until then we had not backuped anything. WE now back up every couple weeks just so we dont have to go through that agian...

well i back up my important docs and my clients folder every sunday and also after that i clean my compter. yes this is my every weekend rioutine

The ones at work are backed up monthly on zip files.My personal pcs are another matter.I make a back up when I first run them and then that's it.I know that's horrible but I really don't have anything important on them.Or nothing not replaceable anyway.

you are absolutely right and the backup thing a really must thing for users. i take backup of my important files everday , since my system has all patients's data and those get updated every single day! (i work in a hospital). i take backup in a a removal pendrive and use it at home aswell when required. every month i burn some inert data to CDs and delete them from computer. i have be alert everytime my computer reboots, i keep my fingers crossed for u never know!!

Well, I never back up my system. But I follow a different method of backing up data. I never put any important sensitive data on the drive where my operating system resides. Infact I have got a secondary hard disk drive just for storing information. In that way I feel that my data is safe from system crashes. The Operating system drive is volatile in my case, just because I format it every month, and I can't assure myself whether I have all the files backed up or not. So I have nothing in my C: drive, except the OS, few program files. I also keep a backup(setup) for every program which needs to be installed after formating my system. Other things I keep is an image of my OS drive using GHOST. With this it's just like copying files back into my OS drive instead of the awesomely long procedure of windows installation.

I just backedup today. I try & do it two or three times a month so that I don't lose any thing.

It was just few weeks ago.Because my mac was breakdown.And just few days after my backup.So it is lucky for me to do backup before the computer breaks down.All my school files and document are save! I am a bit lucky!I did those backup and recorded in dvds and also cd.One of the easiest way to do backup.And also portable hard drive, ANOTHER GOOD choice.

I always backup my data in a CD or DVD. Because backing up a data is very needed cause you don't know what might happen to your computer. If you didn't back up a data in a CD or another drive, maybe if sometimes suddenly your computer crashes you might have lost all your data.

I am bad about this. I do some side work and I always back up these files regularly. And my company files, I back them up. But when it comes to my personal files on the computer, I am embarassed to say I cannot remember the last time I did this. Now that you reminded me, I might do it today. Thanks

We did a backup about 3 days ago, we have a separate harddrive where we keep everything and actually there is not much in the pc. :)

I've never backed up my computer and I've been working from it for about eight years now. Guess I've been lucky. (I'm good about erasing files & defragging so maybe that helps)

Yesterday. (mostly on the start of the week every week). I use a CD to back up. Will have to look for larger back up means when the back matter gets bigger
