Tony has this lump in his right lung. After watching it for 3 months ( and not seeing any appreciable growth), the doc said we need to take it out. Why wait 3 months? i have no idea. But there are some spiky things around it that could be inflammation or it could be cancer. Were they there 3 months ago? Hm. No idea. But anyway, it's coming out Tuesday and being biopsied and hopefully it isn't cancer. Wish us luck

I'm sorry to hear about the lump and hope things go well with the biopsy.
Just the word "cancer" can scare most people. I'm sure it did you and Tony, too. Good luck!

Oh, it really is hard to tell unless it will be biopsied. I think non-cancerous lumps don't need to be operated on and removed they would usually be gone after some time. For malignant cells, though can be tricky at times since when removing them the doctor should be thorough and meticulous since anything left there could just start everything again. That is why they may be cautious about removing anything immediately.

Thanks. It went well, not cancer, a type of fungus, and they are looking at it to see if they need to do anything else.

I hope things go well for him --Removing it seems like a good idea, and hopefully, the biopsy comes back negative.

All is well. It wasn't cancer, it was cryptococcus, a type of fungus. They are looking at it to see if they need to do anything else.

It was a type of fungus, not cancer, and hopefully that is the end of it.

I hope everything goes well. I have to wait until December to find out if my Hepatitis C medicine has worked. I wish doctors would make you wait a long time.
