Russia Getting Desperate: End Result Can Be Tragic

When Vladimir Putin started the war he expected a quick victory but seven months down the line Russia has only been able to capture about 19% of Ukraine's territory. The last month has been an anti-climax as Ukraine's army has been mounting a counteroffensive and some areas have been recaptured from Russia. This has been unexpected and Vladimir Putin is worried because the morale of the Russian army which has been fighting for seven months seems to be going down. In a panic move, Putin called for partial mobilization and 300,000 more Russians have been drafted to fight in Ukraine. I understand people are not happy with this and there is resentment and many are trying to flee Russia to avoid fighting a fruitless war. Opposition to Putin is also growing and that is cause for worry for the Russian government. The Americans are fishing in troubled waters and dowsing the flames with more oil but the result can be very disastrous. In case Russians are pushed further back a desperate Putin could do anything and even launch a nuclear tactical strike on Ukraine. Despite bravado statements by Joe Biden, I do not think America will react to the nuclear strike because that would be World War III and the destruction of America as the Russians have already targeted nuclear missiles on 50 American cities. The question is, the flames must be doused and some security guarantee has to be given to Russia so that the end result is not tragic. I hope sanity will prevail.

Ukraine provoked the conflict by falling into the American trap to cage Russia.

All the countries are responsible because of this escalation and problems with Crimea ALWAYS in the past brought a war. We think that WWIII is approaching. No one will come out as a winner.

Britain's appeasement of allowing Hitler to expand German territory unchallenged was a factor that cause WW11. Putin would interpret this kind of policy from the west as a sign of weakness. But it is also wise to leave a cornered dog an escape route, or else it will fight to the end since it has nothing to lose.

I hope that this war between Russia and Ukraine will not result to World War III. If nuclear war will happen, all of us have nowhere to hide.

Judy, the question now is not who is wrong or right but to save the world from destruction. There is no doubt that Americans mis calculated and I hope the mess can be cleared.
