Fish? - Yes or No

Continuing in the same vein as yesterday's post about Sushi and Sashimi, today's topic is fish.
Fish have a greater species diversity than any other group of vertebrates; and they are not documented in the deepest 25% of the ocean.
I'm on the fence about fish. I can eat breaded and fried fish sticks and fish fillets with tartar sauce; but I don't have it that often; and I don't really care for strong tasting fish like salmon...If I had to eat it, I probably would, but...
How about you? Do you like fish? What is your favorite kind of fish?

The fish with a lot of bones here is herring. But we fry it so crispy that you just eat the bones. Dale fillets the catfish so it's boneless then.

I hate eating ground beef because there always seems to be bone chips and sinew. I only eat beef when we get it from the Meals on Wheels program...although I could go for a filet mignon!

I love eating fish, which goes without saying since I live in Florida. Haha. My favorites are of course the saltwater fishes like grouper and snapper and the likes. I’m also a big fan of salmon.

I particularly like salmon. Yes, I also like those breaded goodies. There are dishes I like anchovies in, but not pizza. I like pickled herring and I like sardines as well. I love a good fried catfish fillet.

Yes, wouldn't you know, fried ahi. Raw or fried, yum! I like cod, fish and fries and dried fish sardines too. New years I like fish roe in seaweed, just a little, for they're expensive!

@LindaOHio It is correct, an unpleasant muddy taste, I feel the same muddy taste in the carps.

@LadyDuck I have heard that to get rid of the muddy taste, they let the fish swim in fresh water for a couple of days.

I love catfish, white perch, and rock fried or stewed. I like salmon in a restaurant, but I don't cook it.

@LindaOHio It doesn't taste muddy at all. I think it's either the type of catfish or where it's caught or maybe how it's cleaned.

@1creekgirl I heard that some people let the catfish swim in clean water for a couple of days to get rid of that taste. Have you ever heard that?

I have not eaten fish in a long time but I like red snapper. I like fried fish but have to stop eating fried foods to lower my cholesterol and my blood sugar

I'm not fond of fish and only care for tuna (canned) and shrimp. I wish I liked fish but I just never acquired a taste for it

@LindaOHio yeah shrimp does have a weird texture but it's the only fish I've ever acquired a taste for. I don't eat it very often but especially like coconut shrimp you can get at the Outback Steak House.

I am a vegetarian by choice. But I enjoy traditional fish curry made in mustard garlic paste and fried fish from time to time.
