My job requires manual work which includes carrying cartons of groceries such as flour, milk powder, vooking oil, sacks of rice, etc all those heavy items. 2 weeks ago, one carton of oats fell down from the trolley,, hit my leg which caused a heavy blue black and swollen. I had rub muscle ointment to dissolve the stagnant blood which had turned blue black. It still hurts after 2 weeks. Nope i do not intend to visit the doctor because my medical leave had been used up when i had covid 14 days. How long does it takes for blue black to recover? Any advice?

Did you report the injury to your employer? They should give you time off to go to the doctor if you did. A bruise can take quite a while to go away.

Does it hurt? As i have read, Hematomas or bruises take 1 to 4 weeks depending on its size. But It usually heals on its own. Just avoid massaging the damage area. A cold compress could help.

Oh wow that is a long time for the bruise to last. I wouldn’t have gone to the doctor either.

None other than wait it out. I have had some injuries like that before. Not much you can do, but wait

I think you should visit the doctor by making some time for you
