I have to start my morning with this discussion and picture. Forgive the robe and night shirt.
I was trying to answer some posts when, suddenly, this large orange tabby jumped into my lap and laid down across my laptop and my right arm. He is currently purring like crazy and is trying to catch a cat nap. (Have you noticed that the first part of "catch" is cat? Wonder if someone is trying to tell us something?) Anyhow, with 15 pounds of cat in your lap and across your computer and right arm (which is starting to go to sleep) it makes it extremely easy (NOT) to work on the computer.
I used the computer camera to take a picture of the little fiend....the computer didn't enter into the picture...but Petey and my night stuff came out beautifully. I will say that he is a very happy kitty, both having his picture taken and also getting to lay in my lap. Good morning Petey!!!

Petey is actually a "Ginger Tabby" according to the Vet's records. He (Petey) finally got down from my lap and is in the bathroom waiting for me to bring him his morning kitty treats. I couldn't ask for a better "person" to share my life. Yesterday he got up from his afternoon nap to check on the person who came to visit. He did a thorough job of checking out my "worker" from Social Services, and when she passed the "Petey" inspection he proceeded to jump into her lap and deposit orange kitty fur on her black pants and shirt. She was nearly solid orange from the amount of loving that Petey gave her after he was sure that she wasn't a threat to me or my household.
Part of my going out today is to get some kitty treats. I have chicken parts to cook off for the cats and will do that while I am in the shower.
Will talk to you later (after I recover a vacuum from my storage locker in the carport). Have a wonderful day and even more wonderful weekend. L & H's

@BearArtistLady That will learn that social worker to wear black on a home visit. Petey is quite the outgoing boy and yes, he is a person.

@sallypup I kind of get the feeling that she doesn't mind that Petey leaks hair all over her. I vacuumed the apartment today and moved furniture...I vacuumed enough hair up to make two more cats!
My neighbor maintains the same thing, and she comes over several times a day to love the cats...they're not spoiled or loved.

@BearArtistLady My Houdini cat purrs great. But he is one of those silent meowers.
My cats try to keep me from going to bed. But as its an air mattress they are not allowed in that room.

With everything that gentleman went through, I can't help but to allow him to curl up on my wrist and computer. He only just recently started to purr, and he has started meowing out loud. For the past two years he has only opened his mouth without letting out a sound. The past couple of months he has added sound to his meows. I can't help but to love all that he does, including nagging me that it's time to go to bed...he just climbed up on the arm of the chair and meowed at me that it's bedtime.

My only choice is to crawl in bed.

What a beautiful cat. Let him have whatever he wants.

He has me wrapped around his paw. Normally I wouldn't let him get away with a lot of the stuff he does, including nestling down on the stove. It's a gas stove, but it doesn't have pilot lights, it's an electric ignition. As soon as I finish replying to the posts, he will "allow" me to carry him off to bed.
Both he and Jonesy have developed a deep love for my carrying them off to bed. My next objective is to get the Lobster Temptations that they both love. They're NOT spoiled!

He is such a beautiful cat. I can imagine how heavy he gets on your arm.
