The Takin is the national animal of Bhutan and we found them in Nepal.

Takin which look like antelope or Nilgai in India is the national animal in Bhutan. We found the Takin in big numbers in Nepal. They have fleshy skin and can only in high altitude and cold weather. As most of these countries are situated above 7000 feet and all of them are cold from October to February the Takin has good habitat over there.

That's true but the Nilgai is devastating for paddy field. How are they managing them there?

thanks Aninditaji the places that I visited mostly have tea plantations at height of above 7000 feet. They are interested in the tea leaves. But they eat other leaves

@sathviksouvik I see. So they don't grow other crops excepting tea.

@aninditasen thanks Aninditaji they grow black pepper, white pepper, cinnamon, cardomom, turmeric also and the Takin dont eat them
