The price of LPG cooking gas is increasing almost every month. I paid Rs. 1009 for the last cylinder but I had to book my present cylinder and pay Rs.1112. This is forcing families to cut down on their cooking to manage the expenses. A family that used to consume 14kg of gas per month has to cut on their food consumption to make the gas run longer. If this goes on one day the common man will have to chew raw food.

I agree with you but we need a common platform to make the protest effective.

In the end, we see the greediness of the top chain forced upon the poor and ordinary families.

Very true indeed. The common man may one day be forced to declare war against the government.

@RebeccasFarm I am sure the government will find it hard to handle the upsurge just like Sri Lanka.

It seems to be the same in many countries. But i too feel that here, the rise in cost of cooking gas is disproportionate to the rise in the usual cost of living. I guess we need to also look at other avenues of cooking like solar and any other options.

In India we can't do that as electricity is getting costlier too and solar energy is still not that prevalent. So we have no other way but half feed ourselves.

No politician these days think deeply about the issues that the people of our country is facing. They just say a pack of lies and launder and misuse our taxes.

We cook everyday at home and since we have more people living in the two houses, we cook more than usual and that gives us less than two months gas consumption. Before we run out every two months.

In big families in India a cylinder of 14kg gas doesn't run even for a month. They have to depend on induction heater or other kinds of fuel like coal and wood. I stay alone so my gas cylinder runs for about 3 months.
