They must have had coronavirus too

I had been so happy that since I got coronavirus I hadn’t lost my sense of smell.
This is a bit gross but when I used the bathroom two days ago I got giggling thinking of the saying that someone “doesn’t think their sh** stinks”. I thought they must have has corona.
If you’ve never heard that phrase it means someone thinks they are better then others.
Yesterday I lost my sense of smell… I am no longer giggling!
I can’t taste anything today. When will new symptoms stop appearing. I’ve been sick for 6 days now.
Photo is mine to brighten up a gross post.

@askme123 Yep 6 days now of being sick. I was vaccinated and boosted yep. I’m very thankful or I could have gotten much worse. Based on how my husband and the baby and my son felt though I do think this isn’t as bad a strain as the first ones.

@Tina30219 besides the light continuous cough I woke up with this morning that lasted an hour or more I feel better. The baby had me up until about 2:30 though then was up for the day at 7:00. She just fell asleep and I’m debating on going up to my bed and laying down with her. I feel so unproductive when I do that though.

@Tina30219 I did wind up laying down with her and got to sleep for a little bit. Not a lot of housework to do today thankfully.

@kaylachan I assume each day I’ll be better but then a new symptom pops up. It’s frustrating. I’ve gotta be at least at the hump point now though.

@RebeccasFarm it’s gotta let up sooner or later. I’m wondering if I set myself back on healing from not being able to rest when I was sick the first 3 days. My husbands doing better then me now and he was out of the house most the day today.

@LadyDuck I’ve been sick for a week now so I gotta be on the up here soon. The baby had me up until about 2:30 so I’m tired today but not feeling to bad otherwise. I woke up and kept coughing. Not a bad cough just almost continuous and annoying.

@LadyDuck it makes me feel guilty and unproductive when I do. My husbands already working outside or something I’m not sure what exactly I just know he put his books, hat and jacket on and went outside. I doubt I’ll have any help for the baby today so I’m debating on if I should take the Baby up to my bed while she is sleeping so I can too or if I should sit at myLot and try to earn some pennies or go clean.

@sallypup it’s gotta go away soon I keep thinking . Sitting in the bathroom now with a nosebleed at the moment. My chest hurts today and I’ve had the runs. I feel like I’ve had every symptom now that exists for it but my husband is pretty much back to normal now.

How did it all start - I mean - what were the initial symptoms? Does not look like the vaccination has helped if you are getting more symptoms.

@allknowing nope I think the second day when I was very achy I took an Advil because the baby was up late the night before and I didn’t know it I could get through another night with aches. An hour later I told my husband I was feeling significantly better. Then I realized it was only due to the Advil. That was the only time I took anything besides my multivitamin and iron pill.

The first day for me and my son was a sore throat. He also had a headache. I got achy by the end of the night. My husband and I both were alternating from hot to cold quickly the first night. He got leg cramps and I got them the following morning. The second day I got a really runny nose and still felt achy. The baby started out with a fever and vomiting and it lasted all day and the fever stayed a few days. That was all she had. My husband the second day vomited a few times and had a horrible headache that lasted a few days. We all got a very light sporadic cough after a few days except the baby.
The vaccination probably kept me from getting even sicker then I am. I tend to rarely get sick but when I do it nearly kills me or close to being hospitalized. Probably because I won’t give in and go to the doctor until I think I might actually die.
I woke up today after very little sleep last night and although my cough is light it was continuous for an hour or more. i feel better though otherwise.

@Daddyevil thank you. I think I am doing better today. I woke up with a light but continuous cough this morning but it has stopped. Probably my body trying to rid what is in my lungs.

@shaggin That is funny... It's weird that he'd care what happened with the mugs he uses as long as he can get a clean one out of the cupboard when he needed one.
Pretty pulled that stunt on me years ago. I put all the stuff she refused to wash into a trash bag and told her to put the trash out. Later she kept asking where her favorite cups and glasses went. I told her I wasn't washing them anymore and didn't want dirty stuff on the counters to draw ants and roaches so had put them into a trash bag and she threw them away. She was NOT happy. I was when she started washing her dishes after that.
Good luck!

Heh. I heard that expression in Montana in my teen years. It was poor ranch girl talking about a pretty city (population 7,000) slicker girl. Her (the "rich girl's") dad owned a gas station in town!
I'm glad your sh*t don't stink, but I hope it's only for a few days.

@Thehorse The saying is said around here a lot. I heard it all the time when I was a teen. Honestly most of the time it’s just someone jealous of someone else that says that about someone else from what I have noticed.
thanks! My son asked me to smell his sweatshirt before his game to see if it smelled. I told him I can’t smell anything now but I smelled it anyway. He taught it in the dirty clothes hamper to be safe. Later he said now he can fart all he wants

@HomewardBound I got really lucky and only lost my sense of smell for one day, the following day it was intermittent and the next it was back fully. My taste is a little odd but not much. My coffee and tea tastes too sweet.

@shaggin I know it’s no fun to not be able to smell or taste but sometimes a little laughter makes us feel better.

I hope everything returns to normal, but it might not. Our former Governon had Corona, and said he never got his taste back. I don't know about smell.

@angelitovillegas I’ve been taking my multivitamin and iron pills to through this sickness. I haven’t been able to rest much or get enough sleep but I am feeling better today. I got the tub and shower washed and did dishes.
