October used to be a dry month, as South West Monsoons (coming from Arabian Sea which is to the West of India) and Indian Ocean retreats by then.
However, weather patterns as well as cyclonic disturbances across most of the parts of India have caused widespread rains.
The unseasonal rains started from Wednesday and Saturday was the most unusual.
It rained almost the whole day with hardly any break.
We had to travel locally and the traffic was so slow at places.
The weather was first enjoyable but it got a bit colder as the mercury dipped from a normal of 33 C to around 23 to 25 C.
It rained a bit today early morning as well.
It remains to be seen as to how the weather would progress.

Yeah, it's been raining since Saturday. I read the forecast they say there will be no rain on Monday. It's cold now. We have to drape ourselves with the sheet at night for two days . Fans are switched off now. Let's see how the weather remains now.

That sounds bad! Uttarakhand is facing natural disasters more often.
I wonder if deforestation and haphazard growth are the big culprits.

Waterlogging issues have been reported.
Some interconnecting roads within the overall area have been more impacted.
I also saw that even some of the better laid out roads have got damages.
That implies more repairs.
In a way, a little more rains are beneficial but excessive ones could lead to more hassles and expenses.

Or Government spending cuts for Healthcare or Education.

So you have an extended Spring due to the rains?
The World T 20 Cricket Tournament is about to start.
Indian team beat a Western Australian XI in a warm up match.
Other teams would start coming to Australia soon.
This warm up match was played in Perth but I think many matches would be in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

Unseasonal rains can be a mixed baggage.
Good for Groundwater levels but testing for day to day activities and the infrastructure.

Today is a maximum expected temp around 29 C and a minimum of 19 C.
Almost like the early winters.

Rains have stopped here. Sun is coming out but it is pleasant with a slight nip in the air during early morning.
Winters would arrive in around 20 days or so.

Waterlogging, Traffic Jams and a few cases of Trees felling down or roads caving in.
Tough for the Infrastructure managers.

Indonesia is closer to the equator so that makes heat all the year around and more rains as well.

I can understand as you got less than the expected rains during the summers and then the rainy season.

Not all water would be absorbed.
The areas with good Tree and Plant covers or Rainwater harvesting (increasing albeit at a slow pace) would benefit.
There could be high runoff in some places.
As for agriculture, sowing of certain crops could be delayed or incur a bit of damage due to excess rains.
For details, I would have to check further.

That means one needs to make people of these areas more aware.
Other measures need to be put in place to tackle flooding or other issues.

Oh that is very tragic!
Perhaps some activities can be put on hold during such adverse weather conditions.
