Recently my phone is acting up and I thought at first it was just the cable I am using. But as it turns out its my charging port that is acting up on me. I tried to clean it as what google suggests but it is still doing the same. I have to literally hold my phone and cable together while it charges or it doesn’t charge at all. It has been a week and I cannot stand it. But even if its giving me a hard time i’m still online on MyLot reading just to pass time and read what everybody is doing at this hour. I will definitely go out later to have this checked and have it fixed. My hands are killing me from just holding it while it charges.

As @daddyevil told your charging port may be worn out. You should get it checked, hope that will solve your problem.

How much does a new charging port cost? My cell phone just as a jack and a wire to an AC outlet.

As we use the cables to charge our devices, putting it into and taking it out of the charging port wears at the metal plug. You should only need to use a different charging cable and your phone will work fine again. IF you have a different cable at home, try that. If you still have problems, then yes, it's the charging port at fault.

I aready tried so many other cables it just does the same thing. Thats why I gave it a week maybe it was just that issue but apparently it gave up on me. I just hope it doesn’t that much to have it changed. But it is an easy fix if they have the available parts.

@sublime03 If you've tried other cables, then it's either the port messing up or it's in the programming. I've never had to work on changing out a bad port. I just sent my phone back to the manufacturer and had it replaced when that happened. (It was a pain in the tush, too!)

I hope so too. It is pretty hard to have it in this state when I mostly do stuff on my phone more than my laptop. Hoping it isn’t that costly.

What's the longest you've held it in for? I would get cramps!

More than an hour? My fingers get so numb and I get so annoyed! I still have to do it today because I didn’t have enough time yesterday to have it checked. So I have fingers working out again today.

Definitely! I cannot even play my games because it takes so much effort to just charge it.

Commonly the problem is the dirty or rusty cable ends that is use to attach on your cellphone. The easy fix is to buy this cable. It is usually less than a dollar. so yeah just buy a new one charger cable.

I have already cleaned my charging port and have tried many different cables but to no avail. It is definitely my charging port that needs to be changed.
