Describe Your Ideal Vacation

Recently I started taking surveys to make a little extra income. In the pre-qualifying info of several surveys, I was asked to describe my ideal vacation. It brought up fond memories of a trip I took with my family one summer when I was about 12. We stayed in a log cabin in the mountains of New Mexico. It was fairly remote, a forest area right next to a stream. It was just beautiful! We went hiking, fishing, picked wildflowers, etc. I'll never forget that vacation. I hope to go there again; this time with my partner. There are many other destinations I'd enjoy too, though! Too many to list here. What has been or would be your favorite holiday location? What activities would you participate in? The photo is mine- taken in Wisconsin.

The best I can remember was in Tuscany (Italy). We were at a hotel by the sea, we walked early in the morning before the sunrise and were back to the hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, during the hottest hours, we visited the area. The old Etruscan city, the beautiful hills, the vineyard. I would love to go back again.

@BloggerDi Both my husband and I were born in Italy, we studied, worked and got married in Italy. We do not live very far from our native country.

That would have been a beautiful holiday. I'd like to go back to France one day.

I would love to take a train up to the North Shore like Maine or somewhere to spend the winter by the beach

I want to go to Portland and visit the really big zoo there. That to me would be fun. Go back to the hotel and go swimming in the pool. Than eat free breakfast and leave the next morning.

I love to visit zoos @jstory07. That sounds like a wonderful get-away to me! There's a huge zoo that I really like in St. Louis, MO, which is about 4 hours away from my city.

For some reasons, I like hotel staycation. Just staying in a hotel with all the amenities my family enjoys

Such a pretty scene in the photo. Not much on vacations any more. I like being home. But long drives and rides are nice into the mountains.
