I got my flu shot yesterday. Today is supposed to be swimming day. I am in my suit with clothes over it.
My temporary crown fell out yesterday on my way home from my sister's house. I have to call and see when they can re cement it, or IF the permanent one is in now.
I worked at my sister's house yesterday afternoon, into last night. As I opened her bills for her she decided to pay and cancel her cable bill.It was already the time I had planned to leave. She cannot see to dial very well. It makes her sad and mad to cancel it but she cannot see. That is over $100 per month for something that she cannot see.
Anyway, it took forty five minutes to accomplish cancelling her service. AND they do not come get the equipment or remove it/uninstall it. Guess I will do that next time I go work.
I will have to return the equipment To the nearest office. None of them are really near. You pay more and more for cable that does less and less. It is easier to stay connected than to cancel. What a scam.
Guess I will take my phone off the charger and head on to work. Have a good day!!

the prices keep going up that they're really outpricing themselves. Cable will be a thing of the past at this rate

Sorry about your crown. Cable companies are horrible. We pay over $200 a month and hardly can find something to watch. They should be ashamed to charge so much. In all fairness, it includes TV, internet and landline.

A week later, and I finally got the permanent one. TV, internet and landline, but still very costly.

The cable company used to be the same way here but, they will come out nowadays and get your equipment. It is sure nice that they will do that now. They must have had good reason.

Here they used to come get it. Also there used to be an office in her town. I would think they would want to come get it, but it all changed with covid.

The cost of cable and internet is wild here where I live. If you have cable, you get a huge cut on the cost of your internet. If you only have internet, it's just wildly priced because they want you to have it all and pay for it all. A never ending circle.

They want to fool you into thinking you are "saving money" when you spend more.

Her neighbor disconnected it for her. She and I drove a half hour, enjoyed a meal at IHOP and had decent customer service, which surprised me.

Yes you will have to take the equipment in.
You are so good to help Heather.
But yeah that is less $100 a month for your sister.

I would have gotten rid of it a long time ago, but she manages her money and never had to go without because of it.

It can be a pain when you cancel something.

I just cancelled my cable too and I had the same problem of returning the equipment. The place wasn't nearby at all. But I'm glad I did it and can save all the money I was spending.
Hope you have a good day and can get your tooth fixed quickly

Tooth is fixed. Yes, if it is to hard to cancel some people just give up. Think of what you might have to show for all the money you are not spending.

I am scheduled to get my flu shot tomorrow afternoon!
You are right that the cable company makes it hard to cancel, they surely don’t want to go out of their way to help or assist you into cutting the cord. I was lucky when I cancelled my cable a few years back, as the cable company’s main office was a short quarter mile away from my house.

It has been less and less service as the years go by. I did not have any trouble with my flu shot, and I got the "old folks version" which is supposed to be twice as strong.

There are many situations that if you make it hard enough, people just give up and keep the services.
