Fall Decorations Seen While Out

Was gone most all day yesterday. Lots to take care of. I saw this landscaping in front of the building I visited. I thought it was well done. Nice colors for fall. I recognized Lantana and Begonias. There were a few butterflies as well. Makes a nice combination. And the green plant in the middle was a nice addition as well.
Stopped and ate at Logan's Roadhouse. A nice lunch/dinner was enjoyed. Sad to hear they were short staffed. The waitress shared that seven employees left last week. So many businesses hurting and needing help. She said some places like Chili's were only taking orders to go for now. Many choose to sit home on the sofa or in their parent's basement apparently. Such a shame.
The weather has been so beautiful. Finally got some rain overnight. More coming tonight. Looking forward to it as the yard is very dry. And things will be cooling off later this week. That is a favorite part of fall.
Hope you are all enjoying your week so far. So peaceful and quiet here. Glad to be back home for now. Brendel and the Dude is always glad I am home as well.
Photo is mine.

This is a pretty landscaping, I like how the plants are arranged.
It is a shame that many do not want to work anymore. Business need workers and many spoiled young adult prefer to do nothing and live with their parents. I am sure that Brendel and the Dude were happy to see you back.

I'm glad you enjoyed your time away from home. I'm glad you're getting much needed rain, too.
We've been having storms for the last two days that dwindled to a slow soaking rain late this morning and then stopped and the sun came out. Everything looks well watered here.

@CarolDM You're welcome. Yeah, weather usually goes from west to east in the US.

That does sound pretty. We have cloud cover today. Not sure how I feel about the possibility of rain tomorrow, given we're still cleaning up from Ian. Although we can't let things get to dry, either. Glad the Dude and Brindel, were happy to see you. I love it when Chilly is happy to see us.

That is a pretty flowerbed.
I love begonias, they are a flower that takes us from summer to autumn and they always look great.
Our geraniums are getting prettier by the day as the season wears on and the weather cools.
Even though we are vaccinated and boosted we do not feel comfortable eating out, too many people with covid eat out and I do not have alot of trust in the general public. There is no longer any contact tracing, so its every person for themselves I feel. It is a shame that it is having a trickle down effect on the hospitality sector, who has already been hard it.

I thought it was well designed too. I have never had geraniums. But a few years ago I had begonias on the deck. I need to try to get those again in the garden. Such a pretty color.
It is rare that we eat out. But we had been gone all day with nothing to eat, so it had to be done. Such a sad situation to see the waitress practically in tears. So much pressure on her.

That's a beautiful landscape and quite well kept too.
Glad that you had a wonderful day. It's a pleasant fall time there and you should enjoy as much as you can. It's short lived.
I wonder why would people not work and sit in basements.

@CarolDM That's unfortunate. Some government subsidies are required. But most of these freebies spoil people. They fail to value money and hardwork. Here too freebies are misused. They are making people lazy and spineless. And that would definitely hurt the nation in long run. People have to earn and deserve what they get

@arunima25 It happens very often here. Many are spoiled. I worked for everything I have.

I thought so as well. Professionals did the landscaping work.
I have no clue as to why people do not want to work; except many are being taken care of by family members and other government subsidies, which means some have no reason to work. Very sad.

I thought so too. Professional landscapers keep this one up. There are many issues here. Many younger employees have it made staying at home living under their parents roofs, and this is very sad to see. I got out early and made my own way. A different world these days.

That's lovely landscaping. Looks like I would like our yard to be. Unfortunately restaurants are short-staffed everywhere. It's a shame. We are expecting s**w showers on Tuesday. Much too early. Have a good day.

Pretty flowers! Mums are a favorite of mine. With Covid fears and inflation eating out at restaurants will become an endangered species.
