A six banded armadillo that came from South America to the North American state of California went missing from its home in Sacramento California on Thursday morning from the Interpretive Center on the grounds of the zoo.
The employees who are employed at the Sacramento Zoo went on a mission to find the armadillo who is named Josephine.
The good news is that Josephine was located early on Friday morning near the area where she vanished which was good news for the employees at the zoo.
Josephine after she was found by the zoo employees was given a medical exam by the veterinarians who gave the good news that she in good health and she was returned to Interpretive Center.
How did Josephine get away from her home at the Interpretive Center is not known at this time.

Based on the picture that I shared on this post, the armadillo looks medium sized. I believe that armadillos are man eaters.

Dear Josephine is an odd-looking character, isn't she? Glad she is safe.

@Deepizzaguy Leaving a gate open probably happens quite a lot.

Most likely she sneaked out of her area when someone left open the gate by accident.

I agree with you about the zoo needing to have tighter security to avoid animals from running away into the streets.

@Deepizzaguy
The thing is, she looks so innocent, but made a get away, worrying everyone.

@oahuwriter I agree with you that Joesphine is a cute animal who most likely found an opening inside of her home at the zoo.
