The Way I Vote, I'm Seeing

When I first started voting (in American political-elections), I would vote for 'whoever's name sounded the coolest' (especially if I hadn't ever heard of either of the candidates).
When I--i dunno--clearly looked at the way the government-system works (the idea that we're supposed to choose leaders who will make 'the same decisions we would make'), I figured I should choose 'the candidate who matches-up with me on some giant opinion poll. https://www.isidewith.com/quiz
But a) not everybody takes that quiz, & b) my decisions aren't necessarily the best. For instance, my quiz matches-up closely with Donald Trump Sr.'s quiz. I think I actually voted for him in 2016; but I definitely DIDN'T in 2020!
So I vote according to 'the Party next to the candidate's name'---not because "I'm on that team," but because 'the Party they choose' aims to make the world the same way I want the world to be.
So I feel like I need to remind you of 'the kind of world each party wants to live in:
The Republican Party wants a world with Assimilation • Tradition • Right Wingedness • Individualism • Small Government • Meritocracy • Laissez-faire-ness • Capitalism • Anthropocentrism
The Libertarian Party wants a world with Decentralization • Small Government • Individualism • Anthropocentrism • Laissez-faire-ness • Unilateralism • Isolationism • Capitalism • Deregulation
The American Solidarity Party wants a world with Protectionism • Democracy • Isolationism • Democratic Socialism • Pacifism • Nationalism • Big Government • Decentralization • Assimilation
The Transhumanist Party wants a world with Democracy • Political Correctness • Globalism • Privacy • Left Wingedness • Progressivism • Pacifism • Collectivism • Tenderness • Democratic Socialism
The Peace and Freedom Party wants a world with Secularism • Big Government • Political Correctness • Progressivism • Tenderness • Left Wingedness • Environmentalism • Multiculturalism • Keynesianism • Collectivism • Democracy • Globalism • Centralization
The Women’s Equality Party wants a world with Left Wingedness • Big Government • Progressivism • Secularism • Political Correctness • Multiculturalism • Collectivism • Environmentalism • Tenderness • Keynesianism • Pacifism • Centralization • Democracy • Globalism
The Constitution Party wants a world with Right Wingedness • Assimilation • Individualism • Decentralization • Small Government • Nationalism • Tradition • Toughness • Religiousness • Laissez-faireness • Anthropocentrism • Deregulation
The Green Party wants a world with Environmentalism • Big Government • Left Wingedness • Collectivism • Democratic Socialism • Secularism • Tenderness • Progressive • Multiculturalism • Political Correctness • Pacifism • Democracy • Isolationism
The Socialist Party wants a world with Left Wingedness • Democratic Socialism • Environmentalism • Progressive • Big Government • Multiculturalism • Tenderness • Collectivism • Secularism • Democracy • Isolationism • Political Correctness • Keynesianism
The Democratic Party wants a world with Big Government • Collectivism • Secularism • Multiculturalism • Left Wingedness • Political Correctness
or that's how iSideWith classifies them. And I think the only parties you'll see on the ballot are Democratic, Republican & Libertarian; the others probably fit under "Independent" (as I've never heard of any of them having annual "conventions" like the GOP & the DNC & ... do Libertarians have one?)
Where do YOUR opinions fit? If I'm voting 'purely on the basis of party,' I'm voting for the Independent candidates ... mostly because I don't want my leader to think they have to vote 'the way their "team" votes.'

The way THAT works is you've got to vote for 'the same candidate as everyone else' (because--if there are more than two candidates running--a vote for the less-popular of the 'unwanted candidate's' opponents is the same as a vote FOR the unwanted candidate!)
That is, unless your State does (I think it's called) Ranked-Choice Voting. https://time.com/5718941/ranked-choice-voting/

And when you're looking at the voting-form at a selection of names-you've-never-heard and the Party whom each wants to represent?
