Very sick again

Not me, but my husband Bob. He has covid, again, and we did not suspect that. Probably C Diff again, maybe sepsis in his blood again. He is showing indicators in his lab work of heart failure and kidney failure. The thing is, last Tuesday his labs were fine, greatly improved, in fact. The ER doctor tonight thought there MUST have been an error in the labs drawn yesterday, that is Friday, because I showed him last Tuesday's labs and they were great. I left Bob at the ER, because he is being transferred to another hospital that has the ability to do dialysis if needed. It is the VA, we are both comfortable with that. It is going to be two hours until an ambulance is free to transport him. The receiving doctor wanted him brought with fluids being given all the way. Bob has not been able to keep food on his stomach since Wednesday. The doctor wanted to admit him last evening but Bob wanted to see if some extra fluids would straighten his numbers out. It did not. Usually VA does not want any extra people in, and often ask me to wait in my car, etc. Bob and I both know that and I am sure they will get him settled in and I can go up there tomorrow.
