Such beautiful weather for October so far. Enjoying the weekend. Snapped a few rose photos in Dustin's garden yesterday. They will be gone soon.
We have freeze warnings for the next three days. So I picked most of the roses and brought them inside to enjoy now. They will be gone until next spring. I am not complaining as they bloom from April through October.
The leaves are turning yellow and orange on the trees. A beautiful time of the year. I read a quote yesterday and it said.."The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let things go." Such true words.
Rain off and on today. It is starting to fall as I type. Fine with me. I have a few projects inside to get done. And it will be nice to hear the sound of the light rain on the screen room roof.
Cats are sleeping of course. Another peaceful and quiet weekend here.
Photo is mine. ©CarolDM

I saw the watch/warning map and there’s a freeze watch all the way down to the Tennessee/Alabama border. I know it means “the end” of summer, butt I do appreciate the freeze that kills the growing season and puts an end, for the most part, to my allergies and sinus problems until spring.

@CarolDM — I am, thank you. Got my bloodwork this week and doctor’s appointment next week for my check-up at the VA. They’re happy with my weight loss. Honestly, so am I.

Another lovely picture of another lovely rose. After cutting him off from treats for a while. I bought some Temptations treats the other day, and now Henry thinks he needs some every time I walk into the kitchen.

@CarolDM Don't they all! Henry prefers Temptations Blissful Catnip (the bright pink packet), but I think all other American cats do too. That one is the hardest to find. Henry hates fish. I found him Temptations ShakeUps Clucky Carnival (chicken, turkey, and catnip). He doesn't care for chicken either and would not have eaten these treats if they did not have the catnip.

That is a great quote.
The kitten isn’t letting my niece sleep so she may give it back to me. I’m so upset about my son not being here for my sons birthday (he’s going on a camping trip) that I’m really hoping she gives it to me. It won’t make up for my husband leaving though nothing well.

Wow! Such a beautiful flower!
Did it rain in your place between 18 and 25 October?

@CarolDM
Sometimes rains bring down temperatures, sometimes pollution and sometimes they are just to increase the moisture levels in the air.

@CarolDM
We could also do with some rains as the early winters also have increased pollution.
However, weather conditions and forecasts deny any immediate rains.

Yes, the flowers will be gone soon, but happily I have some terrific looking bushes that turn a bright red color in Autumn. I really enjoy looking at them. Take a look!

It's time to plant something new here. The rains have subsided and that is the best time for that.

@CarolDM We manured all our coconut and areca nut trees which is an annual ritual. We used the compost that we prepare and put some salt as well.

Such a lovely rose. Well, you get to enjoy them from April to October. So, are you going to wrap them to save them from freezing temperatures? Someone mentioned here about wrapping there roses to save them from snow and frost.
That's such a lovely quote. Nature has such deep messages.
