Are you aware of Randy Rainbow's satirical YouTube videos?

Randy Rainbow is a flaming h*omo sapien who does satirical political videos based on well known show tunes and other popular tunes. To me, he is utterly hilarious. I believe him to be American, though I have not researched his background. He likes to target Donald Trump in his videos. All politics aside (well, maybe not), he is an excellent singer and his videos are really well researched, arranged and produced. I'll link the most recent one I've heard. A friend and I were just discussing his stuff, and I realized I had not listened to/watched him in months. Have you heard of Randy Rainbow? .

Never heard of the dude. Might have to check him out. I think all of us could use a little more humor in our lives.

I remember one of your earlier posts also had link to one of his videos. I don't watch him. In fact I don't watch or subscribe to any videos or channels. I just watch those that are circulated in the social media circle.

I don't subscribe to channels either. I mostly just search out what I feel like listening to. In this case, the link was sent to me by a friend. I wonder if people who don't live in the US or Canada would "get" Randy Rainbow. Or Key and Peele (American comedians) for that matter.

@MALUSE Even if there were subtitles? Do you think it's language nuances? Or cultural differences?

@TheHorse Not fully for sure..but maybe a part of it. The language nuances and cultural differences would definitely be a factor. But then in the current times, especially in India, people are quite aware of Global happenings. Even I search out when I have to watch something or listen to something.

I have just watched 3 videos of Randy Rainbow, he likes singing and he cares about things. I didn't really get the idea of the video in the link you have posted here. It starts with Donald Trump before the hearings before being judged for things he did. Then they start with a speech of Donald in January, about the elections "yesterday"...suddenly Randy starts to sing a parody about the song "yesterday", Randy tries to tell us that Donald Trump is not to be trusted, but, still, the FBI can't find him guilty in anything. Why sticking to the "yesterday" though. I see Randy uses humor to make us open our eyes, wake up and use critical thinking more often.

@TheHorse Thanks, but, what was his message with the yesterday song ? Why did he choose this song ? Is it because of Donald tends to lie about the past ?

@stringer321 It's because, like a majority of Americans, he wants Trump to be a thing of the past.

I'll check it out. I am trying to remember which was the first I ever saw, and which is my absolute favorite. I hadn't thought about him in a bit until a friend mentioned hm yesterday. I'd actually already seen the one I posted today.

Interesting is an interesting word. Did you laugh? I'd think one would have to follow American politics to "get" him.

I hadn't heard of him before but that's very clever. Heaven help your country should Trump ever get back in.

As a Moderate, I wish both parties would come up with some new blood and new ideas. With Trump, it's a different matter, though. He's both a buffoon and a malignant narcissist, if not a sociopath. He belongs in prison. Unless they have "special" homes for people like him.
